Genomtec’s collection of awards is expanding. A few days ago, the company won the first place in the competition for the best startup from outside the US, organized during HUBweek in Boston.
This is one of the largest events in the technology industry on the East Coast of the United States, in which over 50,000 people representing dozens of industries and countries take part.
The Genomtec team had the opportunity to present their solution during HUBweek as a laureate of the 4th edition of MIT Enterprise Forum Poland – one of the largest acceleration programs for technological startups in Poland.
Genomtec has developed a portable device that allows diagnostics, among others of bacterial and viral infections, fungal infections or genetic mutations in any place within just 20 minutes, without having to prepare a sample of biological material. The Genomtec team also developed a device dedicated to the fruit and vegetable market. “Genomtec Fresh” analyzes the microbiological composition of soil, plants and water. It enables fast and cheap diagnostics of viruses and bacteria, and thus contributes to the increase of harvest and allows to minimize the use of chemicals.
