Thorium Space, an innovative startup creating innovative solutions for the space industry, and Łukasiewicz – Institute of Aviation, will receive funding from the National Center for Research and Development in the amount of over PLN 38 m for the SUBCOM project.
The project concerns the development of communication and navigation systems for space and rocket applications. The final stage of the work will be to place a mini-constellation of three satellites in the cubesat standard equipped with retransmission modules on the low Earth orbit (LEO). The value of SUBCOM project is PLN 47 m.
The target groups will be manufacturers of satellite platforms, suborbital rockets, small orbital rockets (the so-called micro launchers, i.e. rockets capable of delivering payloads up to 500 kg into orbit) and military rockets. The implementation of the project will enable offering new, innovative communication systems on the global market.
