Eycore is delivering a key component of the CAMILA program – Poland’s first satellite-based Earth observation system using advanced SAR radar technology.

Eycore has been selected as one of the key consortium partners for the CAMILA project, responsible for the development and delivery of at least three satellites: one radar satellite (SAR), one high-resolution optical satellite, and one lower-resolution optical satellite.

The National Earth Observation Program CAMILA (Country Awareness Mission in Land Analysis) stems from an agreement signed in October 2023 between the Polish Ministry of Economic Development and Technology and the European Space Agency (ESA). The program aims to build a fully operational satellite system, primarily based on Polish space technologies. Satellite data from CAMILA will be used for climate change monitoring, crisis management, environmental analysis, agriculture, and urban planning.

This will be the first satellite imaging system in Poland featuring a radar satellite (SAR) capable of continuous, independent Earth observation — regardless of weather conditions or daylight availability. Its implementation is a major milestone for developing Poland’s national capabilities in advanced space technologies, enhancing state security, and ensuring information sovereignty. Eycore is responsible for designing and delivering the SAR radar payload, which will serve as the core instrument of the radar satellite. The Company is engineering a comprehensive imaging system — from high-frequency electronics design, through satellite control software development, to advanced radar data processing algorithms that transform raw radar signals into high-value satellite imagery.

Eycore works closely with Creotech Instruments and the European Space Agency to ensure the highest quality standards and full compliance with the CAMILA mission requirements. This satellite is not only Poland’s first radar satellite, but also the largest and most complex satellite within the entire CAMILA program.
